20 questions!

happy friday! i'm so happy it's the weekend. soo i got this "20 questions" from two other super inspiring blogs i follow that i will list later. here goes my q&a!

1. show us the inside of something cute:




this is a gift from my dad to his mom when he was a child. the front of the box says "a chest of pine for that mother of mine". and inside is an envelope and a homemade christmas card that has little drawings on it. it's super cute! my dad is in his late 60s. it's hard to imagine him being so little!

2. what's the last homemade cooking you had?
i have been cooking a lot lately. i made pork chops with mushrooms and onions last night. not sure what's on the menu for tonight! hopefully we'll go out...

3. what do you miss?
traveling! have not had nearly enough of that lately :(

4. what makes you laugh often?
my friends and this guy right here....


5. what is your favorite word?
shrapnel .....i have no clue..... it's fun to say though isn't it?!

6. what are you trying to quit?
sugar and wheat. it has been kind of a struggle considering i'm highly addicted to both. but i feel SO much better without them in my system.

7. what's your favorite commercial right now?
i can't remember any in specific. but i always like the Mac commercials.

8. who's style do you dig?
hhm. i don't have any favorites but i love how alison mosshart looks all the time. and jamie hince who happens to be with kate moss right now, who i think always looks amazing. sometimes i thing gwen stephani looks really cool. other times not so much! but this photo i love.

jeez, that's a doozy! i'm really into evolving into the best person i can be. to be healthy and to be authentic and feel things and get over fears and live this life the best way i can.

a bit o' randomness

it's been a while since i last posted. and i would have liked to have way more done as far as new jewelry but i have a bunch of things in the works. i need more supplies, ect. i made this new necklace that is like a chain triangle. i had a dream about the design and got up at 4 am to make it. nuts! but i think it's pretty cool, especially since i have not seen anything like it anywhere. check it out in the shop.


on a side note.... happy autumn equinox! you should celebrate with this YUMMMMMY cider beverage: JK Scrumpy's Organic Hard Cider. it is delic! tastes like the best apple cider you will ever drink. my boyfriend and i were at whole foods and the lovely man tending to the beer section suggested it. may i add it is made in michigan which is where i am from? even better.


on a side side note.... i REALLY want the Diana instant back for my camera. it is a pain to get that dang film developed and the man lost my last roll of film! and he's too absentminded to even call me to let me know. arg... anywho... i want it!

etsy treasury

hi! my messy fringe necklace has been included in a treasury. yay, i love it when that happens! here is a few pics and one of my friend ashley modeling it. i'm slowly working on more necklaces i'll put up soon. i'm working on getting some crystals and geodes to include in my designs. i've always been attracted to those and even more lately.

wish list

hi there!
ok i am dying for a studio space. i reeeeeeallly want to have a space to go to. working out of my home has been EXTREMELY wonderful for the past 3 or 4 years or however long it's been since i quit the corporate life. but now i am feeling like i want to get out and mingle a bit more. it's a little stifling being at home every single day. at least for a while there i was going to agencies to freelance. anyway..... SO, i'm placing my order with the universe. i would like an amazing, comfortable, safe, spacious, affordable studio space preferably in an old building with some brick walls and some dry walled walls, wood floors or concrete floors, tall ceilings, lots of light and big windows. i even will request a sink be in the studio but i don't HAVE to have that but since i'm specifying, why not add in some "extras"!



i went to look at some space last week and i can't stop thinking about it. the building was an old cigar factory built in 1904. it's 3 stories tall, it has super high ceilings, wood floors, huge windows... basically everything i mentioned earlier and if you get a room on the right side of the building you have an awesome view of downtown. plus they have art events where all the studios are open and you can browse around and if i had a space there i could sell. and i would just love to be surrounded by other artists, just being in that energy would help me to feel a little more alive and kicking! look at the picture of the building (below), how cool!? ugh... i want to be there. so i'm not sure how financially that will work out. they didn't even have an opening (yet) but i put my name on the waiting list. and who knows! i'm putting it out there in the universe that i want it! so we'll see what happens right!

Etsy appreciation photos

i have another round of appreciation photos for ya. i bought this adorable skirt from Cloud Nine Vintage on etsy. It is very similar to what they are selling in stores right now, but this one is cooler because it's from the 80s! and it just so happens to match my red and black flower cameo necklace that i bought a while back from 1337 Art on etsy. both items, i might add, had a great price point and were shipped quickly. i'm very pleased with both items and wear them probably a little too much!
