Review (Return To House On Haunted Hill):

Last night I watched Return to House on Haunted Hill and I'm still on the fence whether I liked the first one better or the sequel. The sequel picks up with the movie showing what Dr. Vannacut did to all of his patients, I don't know why they did that cause if you saw the first House on Haunted Hill then you already know what happened. Ariel Wolfe is the sister of Sara Wolfe, a survivor of a massacre some years ago in the sanatorium "Hill House" Sara claims that phantoms in the house killed her friends but no one believes her, when out of the blue she kills herself her sister Ariel tries to figure out the reason why she did it. Suddenly Ariel and her friend Paul gets kidnapped by the douche bag art dealer Desmond. It seems that Desmond knows a lot about Sara and Hill House. Ariel is forced to help Desmond find a precious artifact, a figurine of the demon Baphomet that is worth a pretty penny, which is said to be hidden some where in Hill House.

A big group of "thugs" all go down to Hill House with Desmond and they set out to find the artifact. What I want to know is if you know what happened at that house why the hell would you go back to it? Why go back to the blood show of Hill House? I guess money is the root of all evil after all. Once things start to go bad the house goes into lock down and everyone starts to freak out yelling "Why is the house going into lock down?!" because the house doesn't want you to leave and it wants you to die a horrible, painful death. Idiots! One by one each person suddenly falls victim to Hill House which leaves Ariel, Paul, Desmond and Richard to fight for their life before they become the next victim. Desmond gets killed (good riddance!) and the ghosts try to get the rest of them but Paul distracts them so Ariel and Richard can destroy the artifact since that's the only way they can survive and get rid of the evil ghosts in the house. Didn't they get rid of the ghosts in the first movie? I swear they did. Ariel tries to destroy it but Richard interferes since he wants it cause apparently he's been looking for it for 20 years.

They end up fighting each other cause both of them want the artifact all for different reasons. Dr. Vannacut shows up to join in on the fight, I guess he felt left out. It's probably annoying to see the same old people every single day so he wanted to interact with new people, nothing is wrong with that don't judge him people! ;) Richard tries to fight him off but ends up getting killed cause he is the ghost of a evil doctor after all. After that Ariel dumps the artifact in the sewer which drains through the house and into the ocean so apparently getting the artifact out of the house and into the ocean saves everyone. Once she does that all the ghosts of the patients Dr. Vannacut tortured and killed shows up and turns on the Doctor and ends his rein of terror. Oh come on! I thought they already did this in the first one, since that didn't work I guess it wont work this time and he'll be back to torture more people who enter Hill House. The moral of this story is if you see a house that looks like it could be haunted and something bad like a murdering massacre happened there DON'T GO IN!!! I give this movie 4 out of 5 Skulls.

Review (April Fool's Day, 1986):

I bought the movie April Fool's Day cause I'm a fan of 80's horror movies and I thought it kinda looked good. The movie was better then I thought it would be and I was very impressed. It starts out with Muffy cleaning out her basement cause she invited all of her friends over for spring break. After that it shows all of her friends on the dock waiting for the boat to arrive to bring them over to Muffy's house. One of the kids Chaz is filming all the friends telling them to tell the camera a little about themselves which introduces us to the slut of the movie Nikki. She tells the camera that she's going to attendant a convent school and that she "fucks" on the first date. You go girl, way to be honest! They get on the boat and two of the goof balls of the bunch Arch and Skip (nice names) are playing around with a pocket knife. Oh that's nice, give two idiots a knife to play around with. One thing leads to another and things start to get out of hand. Arch throws the knife at skip which ends up stabbing him, that's why you don't play with knives kids.
He falls into the ocean and everyone jumps in to save them, that's when they find out it was all a prank.

They get to Muffy's house and they take a look around all impressed of how nice of a house she has. They sit down for dinner and through out the dinner they all get a dose of April Fool's. They head to bed and realize they all have a prank in their room, some of the pranks were actually pretty funny and made me laugh others were like huh? Later on in the night while everyone else is asleep Skip wanders off on his own totally drunk of his ass and he stumbles into the dock house where a cat jumps out at him. He turns around and suddenly he gets killed by an unidentified person. The next morning Muffy is acting weird and everyone has no idea why, they go out to play soccer and Rob and Clara head to the dock house to have some alone time, if you know what that means ;) They start doing the deed and then suddenly Clara See's Skips body floating under the dock and she freaks and they run back to the house asking everyone if they've seen Skip then they realize they haven't seen him since last night. They split up to go look for him and Arch heads out to the woods which I don't know why cause they didn't see him in the woods they saw him in the water under the dock.

Arch walks over some rope which wraps around his leg and holds him up in the air and some person walks up and slashes his throat, at least that's what I think they did cause it doesn't show it. The rest of the group goes back to the house saying they couldn't find Skip and then they see Arch is missing. They all freak out and try to call the cops while Muffy is acting like a freakin weirdo and not even worried that her friends are dying and she might be next. Later that night each of her friends get killed and it's only Rob, Clara and Muffy left. Rob and Clara jump in the boat and find a note which reads that Muffy was in a mental institution for three years, they find out that they left the keys to the boat inside so they go back and find like a height measurement on the wall. On the left side it says Muffy and on the right side it says Buffy and Clara yells out "It's not Muffy after all, she has a twin sister named Buffy. It's Buffy!" Buffy bangs on the window and Rob and Clara run into the kitchen to get the keys to the boat. Buffy breaks open the door and goes after Clara while Rob gets himself locked in the pantry, freakin dofus! Clara runs away from Buffy begging her to stop and then she runs into the living room and sees all her friends there and realize it was all a joke and Buffy who is really Muffy all along says April Fool's and everyone laughs and claps and it's all over.

Dude if my friends did that to me I wouldn't be laughing and clapping I would be freakin pissed, that is so not funny and I would punch them in the face for putting me through that. I swear some people don't know when to stop and they just egg things on too much which cause problems and friendships are going to be ruined. This movie is another movie about a prank going to far and people needing to know when enough is enough. I liked the movie it was pretty good and I can see it being a tradition on April Fool's. I give this movie 4 out of 5 Skulls.

Music Mondays (Papa Roach "Hollywood Whore"):

Today's Music Monday is Papa Roach with their song "Hollywood Whore" Ahhh Papa Roach, I remember when I first heard them on the radio with their song Last Resort. Me and my little sister would walk around the house singing the verses "Cut my life into pieces this is my last resort. Suffocation no breathing don't give a ------ if I cut my arm bleeding." We would always block out the word Fuck cause we weren't aloud to say those types of words when we were younger, funny how things change. Papa Roach is an American rock band from Vacaville, California. Their first major-label release was the triple-platinum debut album Infest (2000). The group's success continued with their gold album Lovehatetragedy (2002), their platinum album Getting Away with Murder (2004) and The Paramour Sessions (2006). Their latest album, Metamorphosis, was released on March 24, 2009. The band's new live album, Time for Annihilation, will be released on August 31, 2010. Papa Roach has sold more than 10 million album copies worldwide, and are known for their hits "Last Resort", "Scars", "Forever", and "Lifeline", among others.

The formation of Papa Roach began in January 1993, when lead singer Jacoby Shaddix and drummer Dave Buckner met on the Vacaville High School football field during an intense match, where the two ended up talking about music. They were later joined by trombonist Ben Luther and bass guitarist Will James. They decided to enter the school's talent show, where they performed a cover version of Jimi Hendrix's famous song, "Fire". They ultimately didn't win the contest. In March 1993, trombonist Ben Luther was replaced by lead guitarist Jerry Horton from nearby Vanden High School. Jerry was introduced to the band through his girlfriend, who was a fan. However, Jerry was at first apprehensive about joining the band because Jacoby, Dave, and Will all went to a different high school. At this point, Papa Roach were practicing everyday and touring on every gig they could get. Their first tour van was called Moby Dick. The band's name comes from Shaddix's step-grandfather, Howard William Roatch, who was nicknamed Papa Roach. Roatch committed suicide in 2006. The band pay homage to him with The Paramour Sessions and during live performances of the song "Roses On My Grave. Later Dave Buckner and Will James were replaced.

I chose to do "Hollywood Whore" on this music Monday cause it's such a good song and it fits Hollywood perfectly. When I first heard this song I yelled out "Hey, Papa Roach made a song about Lindsay Lohan!" I wouldn't be surprised if this song was inspired by her cause she's done pretty much everything they sing about. I also decided to feature Papa Roach's music video "I almost told you that I loved you." both songs from their new album Metamorphosis. This song isn't apart of music Mondays so I could debut it next Monday as well but I'm not going to, I hate putting up the same thing on my blog more then once. It's just a little something extra for you all to enjoy. It's such catchy song and the music video is pretty rad too, oh and the song is dirty which is why I like it! :)

Band Members:

Jacoby Shaddix, vocals
Jerry Horton, guitar
Tobin Esperance, bass
Tony Palermo, drums

Movie Review ( The Devil's Rejects):

The Devil's Rejects is the squeal to House Of 1000 Corpses which is also directed by Rob Zombie. Both films are amazing but I think I like the squeal better, I don't know why it's just better. I also think it's because it shows more of Captain Spaulding in this movie then the first one did and I really liked his character. Captain Spaulding is played by Sid Haig and he did a great job. He was creepy and a huge smart ass and very believable. This movie also had some laughable moments which the first one didn't. What I love about a horror movie isn't all about the blood and guts but a good story. If you can laugh throughout the movie while it's still keeping it's creepy, sick and twisted style then that's a 10 in my book. A lot of movies can't do that and it's just cheesy and not funny. The acting is terrible and the story isn't very good cause they spend too much timIe on their slap stick comedy then the horror *cough Drag Me To Hell cough, cough*

The devil's Rejects starts out with a stake out at the house of the Firefly family. Baby and Otis escape and hide out in a hotel a little far away from their house. The movie continues with Baby, Otis, and Captain Spaulding running from the cops and trying to stay alive since Officer Wydell is on a mission to kill them cause they killed his brother who was also a officer in the first movie. If you like Rob Zombie and horror movies then you have to see this one including House Of 1000 Corpses cause that guy can make awesome horror movies.

I give this movie 5 out 5 Skulls.

Movie Review ( House Of 1000 Corpses):

I decided to do a review every night since this is what I want to do for a living so I might as well get enough practice. Today's review is on Rob Zombie's House Of 1000 Corpses. This was Rob's director's debut and he did a kick ass job. This movie was awesome, I loved it. It's about two couples that go on a road trip across country. They end up taking a misguided tour onto the back roads of America in search of the local legend known as Dr. Satan. While on their search they come across a girl known as Baby hitchhiking and offered to give her a ride back to her house ( bad idea) since she mentioned she knew where Dr. Satan was last seen.

Baby takes them back to her house and that's where all hell broke loose. They soon realize that they've been stranded in the home of a bunch of psychotic, cannibalism devil worshipers. The reason why I thought this movie was bad ass is because Rob Zombie directed it and everything he does is bad ass and it was right up my alley on the horrific, Gorey, sick and twisted movies that I love so much. Baby was played by Sheri Moon Zombie who is Rob Zombie's wife. This was Sheri's acting debut and she did a great job. I adore her, she is so cute and down to earth and that's what I love about people. This movie was very Gorey and very twisted which is two big thumbs up for me. Rob Zombie also has a song for the soundtrack of this movie which is called House Of 1000 Corpses. This is such a good song cause it's from the movie and sung by Rob himself and I love, love, love his music.

Okay I know I'm kinda playing favorites in this post but who cares, everyone knows how much I love Rob Zombie so of course I'm going to give him a good review. I will however point out that If this movie was directed by a totally different person other then Rob I still would of liked it cause like I said before it's the type of movie that I love. Would it still be kick ass? Yes but not as much as it was when Rob directed it cause he put his own flare and style into this movie which made it wonderful. If your into these kinda movies I definitely recommend this cause come on, you don't get more hardcore then Rob Zombie.

I give this movie 5 out of 5 skulls.

Movie Review (The Exorcist):

I've heard from a couple of people that they regret ever seeing The Exorcist, that instantly makes you think it's either because it's too scary or just too evil. I've been pumped to see this movie cause it's everything I love. A haunting story, someone possessed by a demon/ the devil, based on a true story, and most importantly everyone told me not to see it so of course I had too. I not only saw it I bought it :D I was waiting for the perfect day to watch this movie cause when I came home with my stash of horror movies I bought from Hollywood Video to show my parents my dad wasn't too happy when I showed him this movie, in fact he told me I should throw it away. I finally had the time to sit down and watch it and my parents just so happened to be gone that night. The first part of the movie was kinda boring and hard to get into but once Regan was possessed it started getting interesting.

What I don't get is why wont people pull their heads out of their asses and realize that if you open the door for evil to enter do you not think "it" wont pass up the invitation??? It all depends on the things you are doing in your life. If your doing things that attract evil, even if you don't mean to it's going to come right on in whether you open the door or not. A lot of people think that the things I'm doing and consume my life with such as all things horror I'm opening the door for evil to come in but I disagree. What I'm doing is not as bad as what the people who do get possessed are doing. In the beginning and middle of the movie it shows Regan playing with a Ouija board! Oh yeah that sure wont attract evil spirits, keep on trying to communicate with your dead cat.

I didn't think this movie was as bad as everyone made it out to be. Oh sure it probably was back when it came out which was 1973!! So my opinion still stands cause it's 2010 and when you look at the horror movies that came out in this time and compare it to the 1973 Exorcist it doesn't come close to being as bad as EVERYONE said it was. Don't get me wrong I still really liked this movie I thought it was tastefully done and well played, I just didn't think it was scary, creepy yes scary no. I wouldn't mind seeing a remake of this movie even though I'm not a big fan of remakes of classics cause every remake I saw of classic movies the director ruined it. I am aware that they made sequels and prequels of this movie and other forms of exorcisms movies but I want the 1973 original remade. I want them to make it scarier and creepier then the first one, oh and I want Rob Zombie to direct it :)

My only down fall of this movie is they should of showed more of possessed Regan and cut out the first part of the movie cause it was boring and just bunch of people digging in sand in some weird country and priests talking about leaving the church cause they lost their faith. YAWN! for that I give this movie 4 out of 5 Skulls!

Movie Review (Drag Me To Hell):

Me and my friends went to see the horror movie "Drag Me To Hell" and it was the dumbest movie I have ever seen since the "Haunting Of Molly Hartley" It was really cheesy not even funny even though it tried so hard to be funny with it's slap stick comedy. It was more of a punch in the crouch. The acting was so bad it was like nails on a chalk board. I do not recommend this movie at all, I kinda want my money back cause I was very disappointed in it. It was so awful. The movie is about a loan officer named Christine Brown who had to evict an old lady from her home since she already had 5 loans from that bank and couldn't pay it off. The old lady decides to get back at Christine by following her out to her car creepy stalker style. She then tries to beat her up and that was interesting to say the least.

So after about a minute and a half of them fighting in Christine's car the creepy old lady Set's a curse on her and for the next 3 days she has to figure out a way to get out of this mess so she doesn't end up going to hell. What can I say, Karma's a bitch :D I swear I felt like I was in hell while watching this movie it was that bad. I like the whole concept of the movie, a girl trying to save her soul from damnation, other then that no thank you. So if you want to waste about a hour and a half to however long this movie was then by golly go right ahead cause if you're not into this type of movie then you're going to regret ever renting it.

I give this movie 2 out of 5 Skulls.
